Your iPhone 3G will probably work properly two days from now

Apple’s iOS update, due on 8 September, will apparently fix the problem that made iOS 4 unusable on many iPhone 3G devices.

Apparently.

Sorry Rutty, I missed this. It’s better than 4.0 it seems, but it’s still slower than v3.

  2. I might try it out. I’ve jailbroken mine at 4.0.1 but don’t mind losing that for a bit for a bit of a performance increase.

I /do/ get moments of slowdown here and there but I do seem to be luckier than most 3G owners. Maybe I just perceive it differently.

Either way I can’t afford to upgrade so I’m stuck with this for a while

  3. I’m really happy with my N900. Not only is it dead good, but Nokia keep forgetting to break it and laugh in my face.
