You can’t accuse this site of mincing its words:
In June 2007 Jenny McCarthy began promoting anti-vaccination rhetoric. Because of her celebrity status she has appeared on several television shows and has published multiple books advising parents not to vaccinate their children. This has led to an increase in the number of vaccine preventable illnesses as well as an increase in the number of vaccine preventable deaths.
Jenny McCarthy has a body count attached to her name. This website will publish the total number of vaccine preventable illnesses and vaccine preventable deaths that have happened in the United States since June 2007 when she began publicly speaking out against vaccines.

Celebrity as defined by a position of media power and dam scary with it.
Yep, and it’s a narrative that lots of people can go for: the truth THEY don’t want YOU to know etc etc etc. So it becomes “brave celeb speaking the truth” instead of “fucking idiot spreading dangerous ideas”.
There was a site many, many years ago in the US which was a “Death Pool”, in other words, lighthearted betting on which celebrity would pop their clogs next. It was named after a certain individual from the world of politics who had died young. It came to pass that one year this individual’s daughter was assigned to me as my roommate at university. And I felt very, very sorry for her, partially because of the nationally-known “death pool”, and partially because her unique last name meant that she carried her sad life story on her shoulders.
And then the herpes-infested little slag slept with my boyfriend.
Some of your blog comments are just perfect short stories :)
