As fun as it is to see comments from people who are really angry about things I wrote six years ago, I’m turning off the comments feature for older blog posts. In this context, “older” means “things I posted more than two weeks ago”.
It’s nothing personal: the blog is getting hammered with spam and attempted exploits, and almost all of it is targeting older posts’ comments, so disabling comments on older posts makes my life easier and the site more secure.
Sadly, it also means that the incredible magic defrosting plate thread, which has been a source of delight for seven years now, has stopped too.

Dammit, then I’ve missed the boat on the band names thread. Ah well, Smack My Ketchup and Sheepish Mouse Mafia will remain undiscovered.
