Man who robbed lingerie shop while believing he was a female space elf may have “blurred reality and fantasy”

Oh, really?

A man accused of robbing a Belfast lingerie shop at knifepoint has fallen back on a time honoured defence – namely, his claim that he believed he was a female elf at the time.

…While Boyd maintains that he is innocent of the crime, he admits that he can’t be sure that the metahuman Beho did not plan to rob the store.

Don’t you just hate it when that happens?

Wasn’t there a story recently that Michael Stone is going to argue that his attempted bombing of Stormont was part of a performance art piece? Do you think they’re legal advice from the same bloke?

..and when he gets ‘banged’ up in prison, the other inmates can pretend he really is female..

Heh. I think I’ve been spending too much time on the internet though: my first reaction on seeing the story was to wonder whether it was viral marketing taken to an extreme.

Metro excelled itself yesterday, btw, with this headline: Car Sex Man Has Sex With Cars.
