A scribbled note escapes from underneath Deadline Mountain
Sorry for the tardy replies to emails, blog comments etc – a combination of a big scary deadline and some dog stuff means I’m suffering from the old “too much stuff, too few hours” problem.
I’ll be back soon, but in the meantime if you’re looking for something to read there’s a new book out by ace mentalist Derren Brown, and it’s very funny indeed. Worth buying, if you can find it below the insane £20 price tag.

I know how you feel. I agreed to a deadline for going live with a (faqirly major) new version of one of my websites only to realise that i had a two day holiday booked starrting the live date and plans to nip down to London for a quick flexi-time overnight. Been working 12 hour shift to get there.

Surely you find yourself wandering to the cash register and trying pay £50 for it?

Heh. Well, I was fooled by the “£4 off” sticker and assumed I’d be paying a tenner, ish. I nearly swallowed my own neck when the total came up at the till.

Yeah, it’s a bit like that here too. Thank god for coffee.
