High definition TV sucks
So says Mr Biffo, anyway. Is a slight improvement in picture quality worth the extra cash and the hassle of a constantly crashing Sky HD box?
If my sense of deflation could be measured in cows, it would be forty eight cows strong.

I think high def is too high def. I really don’t want all that definition. It looks like I am watching a video tape. Also, movies with stuff that isn’t real makes it look fake. Just my opinion though.

I really don’t know what I think of HD. My TV is HD-capable but I just use an upscaling DVD player rather than Blu-Ray or whatever, and I’m quite happy with that – not least because DVDs are a damn sight cheaper than Blu-Ray.

All those years of VHS, I hated the crappy low-quality format and kept wishing someone would invent something decent. Since the invention of DVD, I’ve never had those thoughts.

Yeah, same here. Maybe it’s different if you have an *enormous* TV, but at sub-40 sizes I don’t really see the point.

I’ve never hated movies more than watching them on high definition. It makes everything look like a crappy soap opera. I’ll take my crappy TV any day!

I’ve never hated movies more than watching them on high definition. It makes everything look like a bad soap opera. I’ll take my old TV any day!
