Nintendo: taking the piss?
I’d love to have been a fly on the wall at the meeting where Nintendo decided that the best name for its next-generation games console, codenamed the Revolution, was “wii” (pronounced “wee”).

Why not just call it the Nintendo WTF?

most consoles have naff names. Dreamcast? Saturn? NES? PSP? xbox? Even playstation sounds like a sex toy to anyone over the age of 15. I don’t see what’s so bad about it, compared to any of the others…
