Blogrolling: bogroll?

Just a quickie: does anybody actually use the blogrolling links over there? —–>

The reason for the question is that the blogrolling code seriously slows down page load times, and I’m starting to think it’d make more sense to zap it and just link to things from the appropriate blog post. Would that be a bad thing?

Update: I’ve removed the links, which means this post makes even less sense than it originally did.

Blogrolling links?

Hopefully that answeres your question

I don’t use them — not just here but on any blogs. I don’t find it that useful as there’s no description saying why the links are worth visiting. And there are too many links :)

…and they’re gone.

Ah! THAT was blog rolling. Only ever used it for folk whose feeds don’t work properly.

Wha..? Where’s my blogrolling links!!!

Just kidding! Although I did use them occasionally to get to blogs I had been too lazy to bookmark. But I can always use S2 for that, he handily makes all his links open in a new window.

Well, I read everyone’s blogs via RSS so I’ll continue to link. If they post interesting things ;-)

You’ll be pleased to hear, then, that I’ve been thinking along the same lines as Gary and wondering whether to get rid of the blogroll for a few months now. Hmm.

It’s the start of a blogroll backlash!
