Doom: the movie

The critics are united: it’s rubbish.

I know. I’m shocked too.

I’m not surprised it got a bad rating. It’s going to be very hard for any movie to overshadow the cinematic masterpiece of this summer’s The Dukes Of Hazzard.

Sometimes I suspect you’re being serious.

So in your opinion, Doom is better than The Dukes Of Hazzard?

It’s not better than the *original* DoH, no. But I suspect it’s better than the remake. Which ain’t saying much.

I think I’ll manage to enjoy it nevertheless.

Gary,

Have you seen teh original DoH lately? Coz I reckon if you had you would realise that memory is a devious, deceitful, romantic thing that lies to you about your past so that you wont realise that life has always been sucky it’s not just some localised difficulty. Bad patches? An illusion. Bad patch is a euphemism for life.

Your butterfly of hope on the wheel of destruction,
Russ
