I need a holiday

I’m going to be away all of next week for a much-needed holiday. The plan is to do absolutely nothing for a week: no laptops, no cybercafes, no mobile phones. Hopefully it’ll recharge my mental batteries, because right now I’m *knackered*.

    Oh go on! Just the one laptop then. No? Well your 02 smartphone can do Internet can’t it? Oh come on, you can’t not take your phone! There’s a law or something isn’t there?

    Oh wait, I’ve got it! You’ve got a Blackberry, haven’t you!

    Heh. No, I’ve got an XDA but I deliberately haven’t arranged international roaming on it – for two reasons. Firstly, because if I can check messages or email then I will; secondly, because using your phone abroad is more expensive than a pair of solid gold underpants.
