Updating OS X stuffs Safari

One for the Mac users: watch out for the latest OS X update if you’re running Safari plugins such as AcidSearch or SAFT: after upgrading to OS X 10.3.9, Safari will quit unexpectedly or refuse to load at all. You can fix the problem by going to:

Library > Application Support > SIMBL > Plugins

And deleting items such as “acidsearch.bundle”.

BTW that’s a temporary fix: if you’ve paid for Saft, you won’t want to get rid of it permanently. I’m sure there’ll be an update to the update along shortly.

You fool. Disabling Safari is a feature, not a bug.
