One of my world-weary .net columns has made its way online:
I’m not suggesting that social networks are bad. But again and again I’m finding that I seem to be living in a different world to the tech triumphalists [with] their sunny Californian positivity.

I have one of those giant inflatable funfair hammers. I use it on people who actually say the phrase “leveraging social media”.

Earlier today I typed an e-mail and used the phrase “bring into the loop”.
Then a voice I can only assume was Jo’s echoed round my head shouting “WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?!” and I deleted that rubbish and changed it to: “let know about this.”
The world is a very slightly better place this evening…
