The real reason for the iPod Shuffle
I’ve just been talking to Radio Scotland about the new iPod Shuffle, and mid-rant I realised the sheer genius of releasing a sixty-quid iPod with sod-all features. It’s to confuse muggers! Just think: no longer will white headphones say to street urchins and ruffians, “come and mug me! I am carrying a very expensive bit of consumer electronics kit, and I am probably a wussy metrosexual who won’t fight you!” No! Because the headphones could be connected to a glorified pen drive instead!
