No, he’s dead right. Yet I believe we have quite a good road-safety record when compared to other countries, which means they must be even worse. Certainly the Germans are the worst at tailgating — they drive 2 metres behind you at 120mph — and the Italians are simply insane, except (I am informed by those who’ve been there) when compared to Middle-Eastern drivers.
