I really don’t see the logic behind the move. It makes things more complicated, not less – what’s Vista got to do with music that works on a Creative Zen?

Exactly. And as someone else pointed out, Zune is certified for Windows Vista, but not, of course, Certified for Windows Vista. Not confusing at all, really.
