Its controls only appear when you touch them - how can you touch them if you don’t know where they are?

OK, let me rephrase: the controls appear when you touch the bottom corner of the frame.

Its power lead is too short and is ugly - pretty serious flaw for me.

It's only an issue on something high like a mantelpiece. On a table or bookcase the power cord would be behind the frame rather than running along beside it.

I need to crop my pics to fit - what, all of them?

It'll automatically scale them if you don't, same way a 16:9 TV shows black bars on a proper widescreen broadcast. I don't like that, so I do a batch crop.

The others must be really, really awful

They are.

Are you sure this isn't a negative review? Its controls only appear when you touch them - how can you touch them if you don't know where they are? It looks a lot better than the pic - hmmm. Its power lead is too short and is ugly - pretty serious flaw for me. I need to crop my pics to fit - what, all of them? That shouldn't take more than a few days. The others must be really, really awful if this is brilliant!
